Why Did You Choose A Career In Medicine?
I believe that I have an innate ability to connect with people of various backgrounds on a personal level. Ultimately, I wanted to pursue a career where I could form intimate relationships with people while positively contributing to their overall health and wellbeing.
Charities & Causes That You Are Passionate About
My father-in-law was diagnosed with Parkinson's over 10 years ago. Since then, I have become passionate about discovering ways that people living with PD can remain active and healthy. The Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's is an incredible organization that I actively support.
Favorite Procedures or Surgeries You Like to Perform
Wax cleaning because it can often provide immediately gratification!
Goals that you have either personally, professionally or both
I would love to accomplish my goal of completing a marathon one day.
Most influential mentor you've worked with
My grandmother had a profoundly positive impact on my life. She lived through The Great Depression, and was in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. She taught me about work ethic and remaining resilient through tough times.
