Dr. Jeffrey Jumaily is a facial plastic surgeon and a board-certified head and neck surgeon with expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
He studied medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Jumaily fell in love with the art and science of surgery and pursued residency training in head and neck surgery in Boston, where he worked at Boston Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Lahey Clinic and Boston VA Medical Center.
“I grew up in a family of doctors so I was exposed to the field early on,” said Dr. Jumaily. “When I explored it in high school and college, I really saw myself as a physician. I'm good with people and good at processing a lot of complex information.”
Throughout his training in head and neck surgery, Dr. Jumaily worked with nationally and internationally renowned facial plastic surgeons to treat patients requiring reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Under the guidance of mentors like Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, Dr. Jumaily’s passion for facial plastic surgery continued to grow.
“I'm very passionate about nose surgery,” said Dr. Jumaily. “I worked with some of the best nose/rhinoplasty patients in my training and since then I've refined my techniques to achieve excellent results.”
"I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery done and they did a fantastic job. It was my first surgery ever so I was more nervous than normal but they're great customer service calmed me down a lot. I recommend them to anyone!"— Verified Patient
Dr. Jumaily has worked with internationally known surgeons such as Dr. David Ellis and Dr. Jamil Asaria during a prestigious subspecialty fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) at the University of Toronto.
“It's really hard to single out one person because that is unfair to the many others who worked very hard to give me guidance and knowledge,” said Dr. Jumaily. “Dr. Asaria, my fellowship director, is someone who really gave me courage and confidence to follow the path I wanted.”
Dr. Jumaily strives to contribute to the facial plastic surgery community in order to improve patient outcomes. He has published literature in the field of head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Jumaily has presented his work at several national meetings in North America.
“I consider passion to be the cornerstone of daily life,” said Dr. Jumaily. “I'm passionate about my work and that drives my hard work, creativity and advocacy for my patients.”
Dr. Jumaily is also passionate about helping people of all orientation.
“I work a lot with transgender patients as an expert in facial feminization surgery,” he said. “It is rewarding to be part of their journey in a positive way and help my patients feel and look better.”
During his time off, Dr. Jumaily enjoys the company of his wife and two daughters.
“We love travelling to local and far destinations to experience new places and cultures,” said Dr. Jumaily. “Personally, I really want my two daughters to be the best human citizens they can be, passionate, caring, intelligent and generous. Professionally, I continue to refine my craft to improve patient’s lives. We always want to free up more time to pro bono work locally and internationally.”
