Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three young kids. We love getting outdoors, whether that means hiking, exploring a new park, or discovering something new around Los Angeles. I’m also a big foodie and enjoy trying different cuisines and attempting to recreate some of my favorite dishes at home.
How would you describe your personality?
I’d describe myself as curious, approachable, and optimistic. I enjoy connecting with people, learning from others, and finding creative ways to solve problems. I also try to bring a sense of humor and enthusiasm to whatever I’m doing.
What inspired you to pursue a career in medicine?
I’ve always admired the scientific process and the way medicine allows you to translate scientific thinking into helping people in real time. I was drawn to the combination of intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and meaningful human connection that medicine offers.
What are your favorite procedures or surgeries to perform?
While Sleep Medicine isn’t a procedure-heavy specialty, I particularly enjoy the practical, problem-solving side of the field. Whether it’s optimizing PAP therapy, interpreting sleep data, or figuring out why a treatment isn’t working, I enjoy turning complex information into a solution that makes a tangible difference for the patient.
What personal and/or professional goals are you currently pursuing?
I’m focused on continuing to grow toward clinical excellence while developing as an educator and leader. I want to help colleagues recognize the many ways they can contribute both within and beyond the workplace to become well-rounded providers. I’m also passionate about democratizing medical knowledge so patients can better understand their health, advocate for themselves, and help others.
Who has been the most influential mentor in your career?
I’ve been fortunate to have several mentors who have shaped different parts of my career. I’m especially grateful to Dr. Kamran Kalpari who challenged me to think critically, encouraged me to pursue my interests, and taught me that becoming a great physician involves much more than clinical knowledge.
Do you speak any languages other than English?
Yes, I speak Hebrew.
Anything additional regarding your education, training, or professional experience?
My background in Pediatrics followed by fellowship training in Sleep Medicine has given me a broad perspective on sleep and its impact across the lifespan. I enjoy combining evidence-based medicine, education, and practical problem-solving to help patients better understand and take ownership of their health.
